If you're looking for a better relationship with your dog, both at home and in the field, you've come to the right place.
From puppyhood through the basics of being a bird dog, all the basic skills you and your dog will need can be found here. You will be trained to train your dog, with Rick's guidance.

You'll work with the Command Lead, check cord, and whoa post, as well as the chain, and your dog will have numerous opportunities to work birds. These seminars are very popular and fill rapidly, so please call us to reserve your spot.

I attended the Foundations seminar last summer and con not say enough good things about Rick Smith and the methods he teaches.
If you want to train your own hunting dog then I HIGHLY recomend that you and your dog attend this seminar. You will not be disappointed.
Rick will give you the tools and knowledge you need to train your dog.

I'll ditto your opinions Maverick. I loved the equipment and techniques used.

I didn't think a 7yr old dog could be so capable of learning...I was surprised.
If we want more equipment should we ask him to bring extra up with him?

Thanks for posting the dates! 8)

Hi Mav,

I would be interested in attending this seminar but i am wondering if i should wait. I'm not sure i would get the most out of it going w/out a dog.

what would be your suggestion?

thnx,

Hi Milo,

I believe you would take more away from the seminar if you wait for your dog. I do know that you would still learn lots by attending the seminar with out your new puppy.
My suggestion would be to purchase both of the Smith Puppy Development DVD's as a good place. Both DVD's will help you a lot when the new puppy comes home.
